Copenhagen Kastrup Airport
Finding your way from the airport to a city centre can often be fraught with problems. Occasionally, the airport is a zillian miles away from the place you are staying and you have to endure further tiring holiday time in cramped conditions. It’s not a great start to a holiday! Why can’t it be a nice experience with sight seeing thrown in for good measure? Worry not, for these problems don’t exist at Copenhagen’s Kastrup Airport. For one thing, it is only about 8 kilometres from the city centre and for another, there is a wide choice of travel options. If you are not planning on hiring a car for your stay, public transport is good in Copenhagen. Buses run from the airport over to the centre of town, or if you prefer, to the train station. The bus for the train takes about half an hour and you will find the stop outside of Terminal 3. Taxis are there too and for a twenty minute run into the city centre, they will charge about DKK180. Taxis are great but they don’t usually take the scenic route as it takes more time. However nerve racking it is, don’t be afraid to ask for the sights if you don’t mind paying a little extra or you can jump aboard the city’s own tourist bus.
