My fax machine broke, when I began researching for a new one I found out about a service that I wish I had known about years ago.  The service provides fax 2 email.  I have decided not to replace my old fax machine but instead use the service.  The way I was conducting business makes me chuckle when I think of the way I can do it now.  I would receive a fax, then use the same machine to scan it into my computer to save it for future reference.  Now that I get the fax by email the document is already in my computer.  I just save as and I am done.
