Battleship Cove River Caarousel
Battleship Cove is a wonderful place that has a lot to offer. The area is certainly one of the most interesting places to visit in Massachusetts, and one of the places that you must see while there is the Fall River Carousel. This carousel is one of the oldest working carousels in the world. It is a thing of beauty that has been a part of the area since around 1920 when it was built and shipped from Philadelphia. Known also as Carousel #54, it has entertained generations of people in the area. Many people who visit today with their children and grandchildren came to ride on the carousel when they were youths. The carousel sits in a Victorian pavilion and overlooks Battleship Cove, making it a perfect place to spend the day just looking at the ships and watching the water. Those who come to the carousel for a day full of fun will begin to build their own happy memories of the place, and will continue the tradition of bringing their offspring there for generations to come. It makes a great site for birthday parties and other special events such as weddings and receptions. The carousel is a special part of Battleship Cove and one you shouldn’t miss.
