If you’re into skiing or snowboarding, then you have probably heard of Chamonix. If you haven’t let me tell you about it. A one hour drive from Geneva, Chamonix is home to Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe, and some of the most extreme skiing to be found in the world.

As well as having great skiing (including the Valle Blanche, off piste heaven) Chamonix has the longest single span cable car in th world, taking you to the top of the Aiguille du Midi - at 3800M this is some cable car journey. The views from the top are awe inspiring, and this is also the start of the famous Vallee Blanche off piste run.

During the summer the resort is a mecca for mountain bikers and rock climbers alike. With some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, it is easy to see why people keep going back to Chamonix time and time again.
