Antidepressants May Increase Suicide Risk
It is ironic but some people become more depressed when they start to take antidepressant medication. This is more common among children and young adults who take anti-depression medication. The suicide risk is highest during the first month or two of depression treatment. There are warning signs that will tell if the person is having negative effects to the medicine.
These signs are more anxiety, hostile behavior, anger, insomnia, hyper activity, acting on dangerous impulses, irritability, restlessness and extreme agitation and tension. Immediate action is needed in cases like these. If neglected it may lead to suicidal thoughts and actions.
