What are the top rated Plasma TVs?
When it comes to the issue of which is the top rated plasma TVs around, there’s only one name that appears consistently on the reviewers’ lists, and that’s Panasonic. This brand, owned by the Japanese company Matsushita, has had close competition for market share through the years, most notably with Samsung and LG. They also seem to be engaged in a never-ending battle to see who comes up with the biggest plasma screen ever.
Well, it looks like Panasonic will be wearing that crown in 2008 because of rumors that it will be unveiling a gigantic plasma display panel (PDP) in January at the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Reportedly with a screen measuring two meters by 3.5 meters, it will be the biggest plasma television ever to be released. It’s even bigger than the largest plasma TV on the market today, also from Panasonic, which has a 103-inch screen. This new model will hold the record for being the biggest plasma television, that is, until competitors come up with an even larger screen, which seems likely. This new model is supposed to become commercially available in 2009.
When it comes to quality issues, it still seems Panasonic reigns supreme. Panasonic plasma TVs have received praise not only for their sleek looks, but also for the quality of the images they provide. So if you’re in the market for a plasma screen, take a look at Panasonic. They didn’t become the market leader for nothing.
