In my research for a provider of good home insurance, I have found that most providers don’t have coverage for different situations like earthquakes, floods, or what are typically called “acts of God”.  You can get special packages which cover different situations like flood insurance and earthquake insurance. And apparently, acts of war, and especially nuclear war would not be included in your typical insurance package either.  The bright side is, because I don’t have many things in my home, and because the home is fairly new, my premium will likely not be as high because there isn’t as much to cover.
