A year ago, my sister’s family lived in an old house where the electricity and plumbing were always having problems. The carpets were so threadbare that she couldn’t vacuum them without making it worse. But you would never know it now. They stumbled on a great foreclosure opportunity and got a home for almost pennies on the dollar. They had some money in the bank that they’d saved up for just such a possibility, and they snatched the house up immediately. It has two levels, a dishwasher, and an extra room. I’m so happy for them! They have worked hard for this, and they definitely deserve it.
